
Cats win in overtime

Huntsville Channel Cats News Release
Huntsville, AL â James Patterson scored 1:29 into overtime giving the Huntsville Channel Cats a 3-2 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears Monday night.
It was the third time in four nights that the two teams went to overtime. Knoxville won on Friday and again in a shootout on Saturday.
Allan Carr scored two goals for the Cats while Jessi Otis had three assists, Dan Kletke had two and Claude Amstutz had one.
K.J. Vorhees scored both Ice Bear goals while Brad Bourhis, Tom McMonagle and Rob Miller all had one assist each.
Matt Carmichael had 35 stops in the win including 14 in the final period and one in overtime. Adam Barbour stopped 29 shots in the loss.
Huntsville was 0-4 in power play chances while Knoxville was 1-7. The Channel Cats killed two 5-3 opportunities.
Huntsville will travel to Winston-Salem on Friday night and host Cape Fear on Saturday and Sunday.
