The Fort Worth Cats drew first blood in the second game of the two game set against the San Angelo Colts by scoring four runs in the third inning.
The Cats held the lead until Michael Thompson blasted a three run home run by off reliever Dylan Rucker, who was making his first appearance for the Cats, sending the Colts ahead 7-6.
The Cats came back to tie it in the seventh inning after Derek Hagy ran out a double play attempt. Fort Worth went on to take the lead in the eighth when Adam Kam came around to score on an infield single by Brian White. Ben Ruff came on in relief in the ninth inning and got the save.
Curtis Camilli has his second strong start of the season going 6.1 innings letting six runs in, four earned, on seven hits while striking out six and walking one.
Julio Franco was left out of the lineup for the second night in a row because of a nagging knee issue. It was his last game in a Cats' uniform.
The Cats hit the road for the first time as they face the WhiteWings in Harlingen beginning Thursday night at Harlingen Field. The game will be broadcasted on FWCats.com by the Cats' road play by play voice, Tyler Owens.
