The 2011 OHL Playoffs start this weekend, with the Saginaw Spirit taking on the Guelph Storm in their first round match-up. The Spirit host the first game of the series on Friday, March 25 at 7:11 PM and game three of the series on Monday, March 28 at 7:11 PM - great seats remain for both games, which feature $1.00 beer and great giveaways! The Spirit playoffs are presented by the Great Lakes Bay Region Convention and Visitors Bureau.

GAME ONE: Friday, March 25 at Saginaw; 7:11 PM

GAME TWO: Sunday, March 27 at Guelph; 2:00 PM

GAME THREE: Monday, March 28 at Saginaw; 7:11 PM

GAME FOUR: Thursday, March 31 at Guelph; 7:00 PM

GAME FIVE: Saturday, April 2 at Saginaw; 7:11 PM (If Necessary)

GAME SIX: Sunday, April 3 at Guelph; 7:00 PM (If Necessary)

GAME SEVEN: Tuesday, April 5 at Saginaw; 7:11 PM (If Necessary)

Playoff tickets can be purchased at SaginawSpirit.com, by calling the Spirit at 989-497-7747 or by visiting the Spirit Store at 5789 State Street in Saginaw. The Spirit Store is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. Tickets can also be purchased at The Dow Event Center Box Office and any TicketMaster outlet. Ticket prices for the first round will remain the same as the regular season!

The Ontario Hockey League playoffs are played as a best-of-seven series over four rounds, the winner of which advances to the 2011 CHL MasterCard Memorial Cup Tournament in Mississauga, Ontario.

OHL First Round: Thursday, March 24 through Tuesday, April 5

OHL Conference Semi-Finals: Wednesday, April 6 through Monday, April 18

OHL Conference Finals: Tuesday, April 19 through Sunday, May 1

OHL Finals: Monday, May 2 through Monday, May 16

CHL MasterCard Memorial Cup (Hosted by Mississauga): Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 29.

The top eight teams in each conference qualify for the OHL playoffs with the division leaders ranked one-two in each Conference. In the first round of the playoffs, first place plays eighth, second plays seventh, third plays sixth and fourth plays fifth in each conference. Teams are re-seeded within their conference after each round and the division winners are always ranked 1-2 within the conference as long as they progress. The champions from each conference play in the OHL Championship Series for the J. Ross Robertson Cup.
