
Carson Strang commits to Union College

The Cleveland Barons Hockey Club of the North American Hockey League is proud to announce that forward Carson Strang will be attending Union College (ECAC) for the 2004-05 season.
Strang, the 6'1" 180lb, 1/12/83 birth date, forward from Shaker Heights,. had 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points in 55 games. Strang started out in the Barons youth program before going to the Pittsburgh Forge, leading them to a National Championship in their first season. The next season he attended the Air Force Academy where he had 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points in 2002-03. Strang started this season with the Youngstown Phantoms, but was acquired by the Barons in mid-January for Neal Sheehan and Bobby Cahill.
Tim Alexander, the Barons Head Coach/GM had this to say on the Strang signing: "Carson was an integral part of the Barons since his acquisition in January. Carson's leadership skills and all around play, made him one of our top players in the second half of the season and in the playoffs. Union College is getting a quality division 1 player for their team. I wish Carson the best."
