Ottawa 67's News Release
Our Ottawa 67's came out flying but just couldn't find a way to get the puck past Majors goaltender, and local boy, Chris Carrozzi. The 67's kept it close until a quick flurry of goals by the Majors midway through the second period. Our boys kept fighting, but just couldn't manage any goals aginst a tight Majors defence.
Yesterday's game was a very special one though as the man known across Canada as The Hockey Insider, Bob McKenzie, was present. Bob was here to help honour Tyler Toffoli and award him with his gold medal from the Ivan Hnlinka Memorial Tournament where he helped represent Team Ontario. Tyler was a real force in that tournament and played a big role in team Ontario's success. Great job Tyler!
Bob McKenzie was also here to promote his new book Hockey Dad...True Confessions of a Crazy Hockey Parent.. He autographed copies of his book for fans during the first and second intermission, but also stopped to talk to his supporters throughout the entire game. There was always someone who had him stopped and was telling him a story about their kids or about a fun hockey situation they found themselves in, and Bob always made time to listen. Thanks for stopping by Bob, I know the fans had a blast seeing you.
Last night's game wasn't all about the adults though as the kids managed to get in on the fun! The intermissions featured a future 67's game (pictured below) to go along with a Rogers fastest skater. Those kids were really flying out there! Great job guys and gals, you really put on a good show!
Catch up with us December 11th as we write to you from the stands when our boys faceoff against a tough Brampton team. Until then, remember, GO 67's GO!

Our fan of the game yesterday was Kyle! Kyle loves cheering on our Ottawa 67's, especially when they're scoring goals! He also loves cheering on his favourite player Andrew Merrett and says he loves coming to games because he has so much fun!
Hopefully you had a fun time yesterday Kyle!
Our season ticket holder of the game is Jason Blaskie! Jason is a true Ottawa 67's fan who comes out week after week to support our boys! Jason's favourite player is Cody Lindsay because he works so hard.
Thanks for being a hard working fan Jason, and supporting our team!
Our group of the game is the Russell High School Exchange Program! Boy, were there ever a lot of them at yesterday's game! They brought a lot of energy to the crowd and really cheered on our team. Thanks for coming out guys you were great!
And don't forget to keep cheering!
Our featured player is Steven Janes. Steven is one of the youngest players on the team, but that didn't stop him from having a great game! Steven played a very good defensive game last night and kept most of the Majors off the score sheet.
