Morrisville, NC (March 17, 2002) - The Carolina Courage's Strength and Conditioning Coach Ann Hacker will host a weekly feature on the âFox 50 Morning Connection', the Triangle's newest morning show, airing on WRAZ-TV Fox 50. Called 'Health Connection with Ann Hacker', the segment will provide wellness tips, including exercises and nutritional suggestions, to help busy viewers stay healthy. The segment will air live every Tuesday morning at 7:20 am, beginning on March 19th.
A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Ann Hacker holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and has experience training Olympic athletes, as well as Major League Baseball and National Football League players.
"Fox 50's Morning Connection is pleased to take Carolina Courage Strength and Conditioning Coach, Ann Hacker, along on our exciting, new journey," said Fox 50 Morning Connection producer Emelia C. Cowans. "As the Triangle's newest morning show, we're looking forward to making good TV, and having fun doing it. That's why Ann is the perfect fit! She's enthusiastic about fitness and she has the type of personality that motivates others to strive to do better. This is bound to be a great partnership!"
While she intends to use the Carolina Courage players to demonstrate a variety of exercises, Hacker will teach movements that everyone can follow.
"Being healthy should be a priority for everyone, not just professional athletes," explained Hacker. "What we'll focus on is âwellness'. There are many simple things â things that do not require a lot of time or expensive equipment - that women can do to improve the quality of their lives. I am thrilled to be able to share some of them each week.
