Carolina Courage Fanfest Takes Place Saturday

Morrisville, NC (April 15, 2002) - The 1st Annual Carolina Courage Fanfest will take place this Saturday, April 20 from 3 – 7 pm. at the Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary. The entire Carolina Courage team will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs, and conduct mini soccer clinics. The Cigar Store Indians, the high-energy rockabilly quartet from Georgia, will perform two live sets on the Amphitheatre's main stage at 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm.

There will be interactive games, raffle drawings and giveaways throughout the day. Dean Linke, the voice of the Carolina Courage, will serve as master of ceremonies. Hosted by Progress Energy, the event is free to the public.

The Courage will play its historic home opener on May 4th against the Atlanta Beat at the brand new State Capital Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.
