
Carolina Cougarz to Play Exhibition Game

The Carolina Cougarz of the Continental Basketball League have announced they will take on the Robinson Lakers in an exhibition game on April 19th. Owner Wayne Washington made the announcement on Tuesday.
The game will take place at the Bill Sapp Recreation Center located at 1100 North Cedar Street in Lumberton. The cost of admission is $5.00 for adults and children over the age of eight; ages eight and under will be admitted free of charge.
Team owner/coach Wayne Washington said of the game, "We have a roster of 14 guys right now and need to cut it down to 12. Playing against the Robinson Lakers will give our guys some game experience and we can start to finalize our roster."
The Carolina Cougarz are part of the five team Continental Basketball League (CBL) which is based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The CBL has teams in Fayetteville, NC; Wilmington, NC; Savannah, GA; Birmingham, AL and Marietta, GA.
