Carolina Cougarz News Release

The Carolina Cougarz of the Continental Basketball League have announced their roster for the 2010 campaign. Team owner Wayne Washington made the announcement on Tuesday.

The roster contains a decidedly local flavor with five players having played their college ball at either Methodist or Fayetteville State. Included on the roster are former Methodist guards Brian Lane and Travis Winstead. From Fayetteville State, the Cougarz have signed former USA Select team member Ezekiel Mayes, guard Mark Jones, and forward Bradford Deshazor.

Team owner/coach Wayne Washington said of his roster, "We have a bunch of guys who we think can really play ball. One of the things we wanted to do was to get local players with local ties. With Brian, Travis, Ezekiel and Mark we have that combination. The organization is looking forward to putting a great show on the court for the people of Fayetteville."

The Continental Basketball League is a five team semi-professional league based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with teams in Fayetteville, Savannah (GA), Birmingham (AL), Wilmington (NC) and Atlanta.
