Caria Named an All-Star

Toronto, Ont. (Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007) - The St. Michael's Majors are pleased to announce that forward Matt Caria has been invited to the 2007 OHL All-Star Classic.

The second-year centre is enjoying a breakout season with the Majors. His 60 points are nearly double his 2005-06 rookie total of 37 and place him 15th in the league. Also, his 27 total goals, 3 shorthanded goals and +8 plus-minus rating are all tops on the club. Matt was originally a 6th round pick of the Majors in the 2004 OHL Priority Selection.

The 2007 OHL All-Star Classic will take place in Saginaw, Michigan on January 30th and 31st. For more information, please visit the OHL web site at www.ontariohockeyleague.com.

The Majors are back in action tomorrow (Thursday) evening when they host the Mississauga IceDogs at 7:30 p.m. Then, they visit the Erie Otters on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and the Oshawa Generals on Sunday evening at 6:05 p.m.
