
CardSharks Set to Take on NIFL\'s Goliath

Atlantic City, NJ, April 29, 2004 â The Atlantic City CardSharks are preparing to take on the two-time defending NIFL champions, the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, in Wheeling tomorrow night. The Greyhounds (5-0) come into the game riding an impressive 25-game winning streak, while the CardSharks (1-3) are looking to rebound after a tough loss at Fort Wayne.
The CardSharks offense has averaged over 53 points per contest this season, and will be looking for more against a tough Ohio Valley defense. The Greyhounds defense tops the league in yards per game, allowing only 134 per game. They also lead the NIFL in points allowed per game, holding opponents to a mere 22 points per game.
âSharks Quarterback Tony Raccioppi, NIFL Week 7 Co-Player of the Week, ranks among the league leaders in both QB Rating (105.5) and completion percentage (61.6). The Greyhounds feature offensive player will be Running Back Rayshawn Askew, who is averaging 4.6 yards per carry on the ground.
Defensively, the Greyhounds are led by Defensive Back Angel Estrada, who has collected 4 interceptions in 5 games. The CardSharks are led by Defensive End Brett Kolk, who has 3.5 sacks on the young season. Linebacker Earl Biddy and Corner Omar Lucas will look to help the âSharks keep the Ohio Valley offense out of the end zone as well.
