Captains To Host Its First Adult Fantasy Baseball Camp

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, in partnership with KRE, Inc, will host a three-day adult fantasy camp at Classic Park in Eastlake on Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25. The camp will feature former Cleveland Indians' players, including Len Barker, Mike Hargrove, Kevin Rhomberg, Joe Charboneau, and Dave Burba. Campers must be 30 years of age or older to participate and the camp will be limited to 28 participants.

Each camper will receive a complete authentic Lake County Captains uniform, on field instruction from the professionals, daily games, lunch and a nightly reception with dinner in the Classic Park Officer's Club while watching the Captains games each evening. The cost of the camp is $1,900 per camper.

Barker is best known for the perfect game he pitched for the Indians in 1981. Hargrove played for the Indians and managed them to two World Series appearances. Rhomberg played for the Indians in the early 1980s and is currently a radio analyst with the Captains. Charboneau was the 1980 American League Rookie of the Year. Burba won 56 games over four seasons with the Indians in the late 1990's.

The Captains will join the Midwest League in 2010 and will open the season at Classic Park on Thursday April 8 at 6:30 pm versus the West Michigan Whitecaps, the class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
