Capitols Set January 9, 2005 As Open Tryout Date

Lincoln NE - The Lincoln Capitols of the National Indoor Football League are conducting an open try-out for the 2005 NIFL season.

Open try-outs for the 2005 season will be held in Lincoln Nebraska at the Abbott Sports Complex January 9, 2005. The try-out fee, payable by cash or money order, is $30 if you register and pay by December 31st, or $35 if you register after that date. All interested players must be at least 18 years old, and have collegiate experience. Participating in an NIFL combine ends eligibility for NCAA sanctioned football activities and completion of any scholarship support from that point forward.

Nebraska Sports Acceleration will be on hand testing athletes in the 10-yard dash, 40-yard dash, pro agility run, and vertical jump. Offensive, defensive, individual, one-on-one and group drills will also take place.

Players need to bring workout clothes and tennis shoes or other appropriate turf shoes. No metal cleats are permitted. Players will also be asked to sign an injury/medical care waiver form before they are allowed to try out.

Head Coach and team staff will be on-hand to evaluate and select those players who best display the talent, drive and determination required.

Check-in for all positions will begin at 8 am on January 9. Drills and testing will begin no later than 9 am and will last until approximately 11am.

Players with video footage are encouraged bring copies or mail to the Lincoln Capitols office at 1609 N Street Lincoln Ne 68508. Video will become property of the Lincoln Capitols and will not be returned.
