Sacramento Capitals News Release
Women's Wear Daily, the Retailer's Daily Newspaper published in New York, featured Nicole Vaidisova in their December 15, 2005 issue. The article "Vaidisova: Tennis' Rising Star" by Melanie Kletter, was complimentary to her on- and off-court style.
Vaidisova, who was described as "about six feet tall, slender, attractive and speaks three languages, has the potential to be a major marketing force."
Sports Illustrated named Caps player Nicole Vaidisova The Best Rookie in tennis in its December 26, 2005 issue: "Nicole Vaidisova finished No. 15. The 16-year-old's combo of game, blonde tresses and multinational appeal might well make her the sport's next crossover star."
The Czech native has vaulted to a career-high of No. 15 in the world and has three key sponsorships: Reebok, Yonex and Sega. When she's not wearing tennis sneakers, she likes to "dress up and wear things that are glamorous."
"I feel like the last few months couldn't have been better," she was quoted while at New York's Reebok store. "I feel really good about the way I have been playing. My game keeps improving."
