Capitals Clinch Playoff Spot in Western Conference

The Sacramento Capitals advanced to the Western Conference playoffs when they defeated the Kansas City Explorers 21-17 in the last seasonal game on July 25.

The Capitals won three out of five sets in the crucial match to determine second place for the playoffs. The Capitals had squeaked out a 21-20 victory in overtime when the Explorers visited Sacramento on July 14.

The Capitals handed the Springfield Lasers their first defeat of the season, 22-17, on July 23 in Springfield. The Lasers have clinched the first seed in the Western Conference playoffs while the Capitals have secured the second seed.

The Western Conference playoffs will be held Friday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. and the Eastern Conference playoffs will be held Saturday, July 28 at Allstate Stadium at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville.
