
Canucks exercise option on Komarniski

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have exercised the contract option for defenceman Zenith Komarniski.
Komarniski, 23, played in 77 AHL matches with the Manitoba Moose during the 2001-02 season. He registered five goals, 20 assists for 25 points with 153 penalty minutes. In the AHL playoffs, the Edmonton, AB native had two assists with 13 penalty minutes in seven playoff games.
Komarniski was Vancouver's 2nd choice, 75th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.
