The Cleveland Cavaliers' new NBA Development League team can't wait to get to know the great people in the Canton community better-so they are hosting a "FanFest" at their new home to say hello! This Saturday, September 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., everyone is invited to the FREE event at the Canton Memorial Civic Center!

It's a day to enjoy the spirit of fun that families will come to expect as part of the Cavalier-inspired fan experience when the development league team starts its inaugural 2011-12 season on Friday, November 25th against the defending NBA Development League Champion Iowa Energy. FanFest will also be the perfect time for the public to see the basketball seating layout inside the Civic Center and to learn more about exclusive ticket opportunities that will put them in the best seats in the house for the 2011-12 season!

Outside, inside and on the concourse, FanFest will be a whole lot of fun for the entire family! Cavs play-by-play announcer Fred McLeod will handle emcee duties from the Canton Memorial Civic Center's main stage, as the Cavalier Girls and the Cavs' hip hop dance troupe the Scream Team, along with Cavs mascot Sir C.C. meet and greet fans.

The FanFest menu will feature $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas with a lineup of festivities that include:

Interactive basketball games including Moondog's Inflatable Pop-a-Shot, Crossover Inflatable Pop-a-Shot and the 360 shootaround Chances to win limited edition D-League t-shirts and game tickets for the upcoming season "Express Yourself" face and hair painting, and temporary tattoos From Noon to 2:00 p.m.:

Measure up against the pros! Derek Millender, Cavs assistant strength and conditioning coordinator and Stephen Spiro, Cavs assistant athletic trainer will put fans to the "fit as a pro" test with skills and agility challenges NBA skills contests with Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coaches Paul Pressey and Joe Prunty Cavs Legends Campy Russell and Austin Carr will meet fans and sign autographs "This is such an exciting and busy time for us as an organization as we put all the pieces in place to launch our inaugural season," said Scott Woodruff, the Canton team's senior vice president and chief operating officer. "One of the biggest pieces is to let everyone in the Canton community know that their support is appreciated and that we are going to have a great time together! We want to invite everyone to come out to FanFast to get a taste of what all the fun is about, have a dollar dog and learn more about how they can be a part of our development league team family."

Team representatives will conduct personal guided tours at FanFest to give fans an up-close look at the great seating options available for the upcoming season. All fans who take the tour will receive a limited edition inaugural season t-shirt. Call 866-444-1944 to schedule a time slot.

Season tickets are on sale now and start as low as $5 per game! Deposits of $50 for season tickets are now being accepted, which will provide seating location priority. With a season ticket purchase or deposit, fans will receive a free commemorative Canton D-League t-shirt that was handed out at the team's introductory press conference in Canton on July 7th, 2011. Season ticket benefits include an invitation to exclusive team events, discounts on official team merchandise, participation in special on-court game night events, access to discounts and special offers at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland and much more. Single-game tickets will go on sale closer to the start of the season on a date to be announced.
