Canadian Premier League Unveils 2019 Kits

Toronto, ON - Today, the Canadian Premier League (CPL) and official league kit provider, Macron, a leader in the international teamwear market, unveiled the inaugural season custom-designed playing kits for the Canadian Premier League's seven founding clubs.

Macron designers worked in collaboration with all seven Canadian Premier League clubs during the design process, developing high quality custom kits with unique looks to provide the needed professional technical features while enhancing them with exciting graphic designs. The partnership negotiated by Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) on behalf of the Canadian Premier League makes it one of the few leagues that have custom-made kits league-wide.

As a collective, in-depth research went into the creative process for each kit that features the symbolism and identity of the club within the design. The descriptions for FC Edmonton's kits are as follows:

HOME

Inspired by FC Edmonton's crest - the navy-blue mélange is a graphic representation of the Prairie skies. The Saskatchewan River is symbolized in a bold graphic stripe. Inspired by the Rally Rabbit movement -the supporter group initiative to bring back the club to the CPL, a white silhouette blends into the colours on the back of the jersey - as a tribute to Edmonton FC's infamous sporadic visitor and their symbol of good luck.

AWAY

FC Edmonton is swapping the traditional white away jersey for pinstripes. The pinstripes are crafted to resemble the Saskatchewan River. A classic elegant style, inspired by the values of the club is representative of the power of the city's youth and the future of the city. Rally Rabbit, who stepped onto Edmonton's field in 2011 and has been a mascot of the club's courage and perseverance ever since is a featured silhouette on the back of the jersey.

Team-authentic jerseys (home and away) will be available online for $119.99 CAD (Men's), $109.99 (Women's) CAD and Youth $99.99 CAD. Fans will be able to customize each jersey with either their favourite CPL player or own names and number for an additional $34.99 CAD.
