Trailing 6-1 entering the bottom of the fourth inning, the New Jersey Jackals turned up the heat en route to a comeback win. The Jackals scored a run in the fourth, cutting the lead to 6-2, then added three runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to go up 9-6. Worcester managed a run in the top of the seventh, but that was all, and the Tornadoes fell by a score of 9-7, giving the Jackals their 14th win in a row. New Jersey 1B Myron Leslie homered for the second consecutive game and finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI to lead the Jackals offensively.

The Worcester Tornadoes rebounded in game two to do what no team has been able to do in the last 14 games, beat the New Jersey Jackals. Worcester salvaged a split with New Jersey, snapping the Jackals' win streak, thanks to a good outing from starting pitcher Jusef Frias. Frias allowed one run on four hits while striking out five in six innings of work to earn the victory, his first of the season. Worcester CF Heath Keel led all hitters in the game, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Tornadoes 3B Chris Colabello also doubled and was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

New Hampshire 6, Brockton 5 (Game 1 - 7 innings)

New Hampshire starting pitcher Isaac Burkett had a good outing in leading the American Defenders past Brockton 6-5 in game one of a doubleheader. Burkett allowed one run on three hits in six innings of work to earn the win and improve to 3-2 on the season. New Hampshire LF Jerod Edmondson and C Argenis Tavarez each went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI to lead the way offensively. Brockton got home runs from DH Palmer Karr and PH Phillip Cuadrado in the losing effort.

The Sussex Skyhawks and Quebec Capitales combined for a staggering 42 hits in this one, but in the end the Skyhawks survived the slugfest, 17-16. Seventeen of the 18 starters in the game recorded at least one hit. Leading the way for Sussex was 3B Jeremy Hunt, who was 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Skyhawks RF Maikel Jova was 3-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI, and DH Jorge Moreno was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. DH Greg Stevens led the way at the plate for Quebec. He was 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI in the losing effort.
