A RBI double by CF Jorge Moreno and a RBI single by RF Maikel Jova plated both of Sussex's runs in the fourth inning as the Skyhawks went on to a 2-1 win over the New Jersey Jackals. Jova and 2B Chris Brown each had two hits on the day to lead the Skyhawks offense. Sussex starting pitcher Justin Knoff had a solid performance in collecting his fourth win of the season. Knoff went seven innings allowing one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts. 2B Marcus Sanders was 2-for-3 for New Jersey in defeat.

Brockton 8, Worcester 7 (Game 1 - 8 innings)

A big night at the plate from Brockton 1B Clyde Williams helped the Rox to an 8-7 extra inning win against Worcester in game one of a doubleheader. Williams finished the game 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three runs scored and two RBI to lead the way offensively. Brockton LF Keith Brachold also had a good game, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and two RBI. Rox reliever Brad Hertzler picked up the win after tossing a scoreless eighth inning to improve to 2-2 on the season.

The American Defenders of New Hampshire got a strong outing from starting pitcher Nick Asselin to top Quebec 6-3 on the road. Asselin allowed two runs on six hits while striking out four in 6 1/3 innings to earn the win and improve to 4-3 on the year. American Defenders LF Jerod Edmondson led the way offensively, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. New Hampshire closer Juan Padilla tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his 12th save.
