Trailing 2-0 entering the bottom of the third inning, the Worcester Tornadoes rallied for four runs and went on to a 4-3 win. Tornadoes LF Vinny Pennell had a big night at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Worcester RF Carlos Sosa also homered in the game and was 1-for-4. Tornadoes starting pitcher Zach Zuercher allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out four in five innings of work to earn the win and improve to 2-4 on the season. Worcester reliever Santiago Ramirez tossed a scoreless ninth inning to earn his fourth save. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Brockton 8, New Hampshire 5

HR: BR-Melvin Falu (4), Palmer Karr (12); NH-Chris Kelly (11)

The Brockton Rox used its offense to roll past New Hampshire en route to its 26th win of the season and 12th in a row. Brockton LF Keith Brachold led the way, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, and 2B Melvin Falu and DH Palmer Karr each added a home run. Rox starting pitcher Freddy Flores earned the win to improve to 2-1. Flores allowed three runs on nine hits while striking out five in 5 1/3 innings. Brockton closer Jerry Dunn came on in the ninth and held the American Defenders scoreless to earn his 10th save.

Sussex 7, Quebec 2

HR: SS-Jeremy Hunt (8), John Urick (6)

Sussex 3B Jeremy Hunt and 1B John Urick led the Skyhawks to an easy 7-2 win against Quebec on the road. The duo combined to go 6-for-8 at the plate with a pair of home runs, four runs scored and six RBI. Sussex starting pitcher Carter Clements had a solid outing as well. He scattered nine hits and allowed two runs in 6 2/3 innings of work to earn the win and run his record to 3-2.
