Brockton starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren scattered seven hits and struck out seven without issuing a walk in a complete game shutout. Lundgren needed just 107 pitches to finish off the Tornadoes and with the win he ran his mark to 6-5 on the season. Leading the way at the plate for the Rox was RF Keith Brachold, who went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. 3B Phillip Cuadrado was also 2-for-4 while LF Palmer Karr finished 1-for-2 with a run scored.

Sussex 4, New Hampshire 3

Sussex SS Mark Pappas snuck a single up the middle through an infield of five defenders to drive in DH Jorge Moreno from third with no outs in the bottom of the ninth to give Sussex a 4-3 come-from-behind victory. While Pappas was the hero, Skyhawks RF Maikel Jova did the bulk of the damage at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. Sussex reliever Greg Lane was credited with the win. He allowed just one base runner in four innings of work to improve to 1-1. New Hampshire RF Angel Molina was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI to lead the American Defenders offensively in the losing effort.

Quebec 4, New Jersey 3 (12 innings)

The Quebec Capitales outlasted the New Jersey Jackals in 12 innings to earn their 13th win of the second half and give themselves a three game cushion atop the standings. In a game that did not feature an extra base hit, Quebec LF Alex Nunez led the way, going 2-for-4 with a RBI. Trailing 2-0 entering the eighth inning, the Capitales rallied for a pair of runs to tie the score, 2-2. After taking a 3-2 lead in the 11th, Quebec saw it slip away in the bottom of the frame to force inning number twelve. In that frame 3B Patrick Deschenes singled home 1B Pierre-Luc LaForest to put the Capitales up 4-3 and the bullpen held on for the win.
