Rockland 1, Kansas City 0

Boulders starting pitcher Bobby Blevins picked up 26 outs against Kansas City without allowing a run. But after giving up two two-out base knocks, Blevins handed the game over to reliever Adrian Martin. Martin then gave up what looked to be the game-tying single, but Boulders LF Keith Brachold threw out Brandon Jones at the plate to secure the 1-0 Rockland victory. Blevins, who allowed only four hits in 8.2 innings of work, picked up the victory, with Martin getting the fortuitous save. The hero in the ninth, Brachold, gave the Boulders their only run of the game with his 25th homer of the season. Brachold's blast was one of just three hits Rockland got starting T-Bones pitcher Brian Grening, who pitched all eight innings for Kansas City.

Quebec 6, Worcester 5

The Capitales scored one run in each of the final fourth innings, turning a 5-2 deficit into a narrow, 6-5 win over Worcester. Quebec 2B Josh Colafemina scored the walkoff run, coming around from first - with the help of a Tornadoes error - on a Jonathan Malo single. Malo went 2-for-5 on the night and scored a run. The Tornadoes scored their five runs on the back of three homers. 1B/DH Michael Gedman, 1B/2B Alex Nunez and RF Cameron Monger each hit their first dingers of the year. Two of those blasts came in the Tornadoes' four-run third inning. But the rally from the Capitales in the late innings, combined with solid pitching from the fourth inning on earned Quebec the win.

Newark 9, New Jersey 7

Five Bears batters had multi-hit games, as Newark got extra-base hits from four men, helping the team outscore New Jersey, 9-7. The top three in the Newark lineup went a combined 8-for-15 against Jackals pitching, with two-hole hitting Quentin Davis going 3-for-5 with a triple, a run and two RBI. The Bears took a slim, 3-1 lead into the sixth. But seven straight one-out singles put five runs on the board and built what proved to be an insurmountable lead. New Jersey C Chris Henderson drove in three runs while going 2-for-5 with a triple. But despite that outing from Henderson and a 3-for-5 performance from LF Angel Berroa, the Jackals couldn't keep up with the hot-hitting Bears.
