Rockland 4, New Jersey 1

Rockland starting pitcher Jonathan Velasquez tossed seven strong innings as the Boulders downed the New Jersey Jackals, 4-1. Velasquez allowed one earned run on eight hits with two walks and three strikeouts. The win by Velasquez was his second of the season. Rockland was led offensively by LF Keith Brachold who went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. The home run by Brachold was his 14th of the season. In the loss for New Jersey, DH Bryan Sabatella and SS Angel Berroa each had two hits.

Quebec 13, Newark 7

The Quebec Capitales win their seventh in a row as they defeated the Newark Bears, 13-7. Quebec scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning to break out to an 8-2 lead and would cruise from there to victory. The Capitales 1-2-3 hitters of SS Jeff Helps, 3B Jonathan Malo and CF Sebastien Boucher went a combined 5-for-12 at the plate with six runs scored and four RBI. Quebec RF Steve Brown also added his eighth home run of the season in a 2-for-4 night. Starting pitcher Bryan Rembisz was the winner for the Capitales as he allowed four earned runs on nine hits with five strikeouts. Rembisz is now 6-1 on the season.

Amarillo 13, Worcester 7

Amarillo scores five runs in both the sixth and seventh innings as the Sox outlast the Worcester Tornadoes, 13-7. CF Harrison Kain had a monster game for Amarillo as he went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, triple, two runs scored and three RBI. SS Jason White, 3B Matthew Tucker and 1B Alberto Espinosa each chipped in with two hits apiece for the Sox. Amarillo starter Justin Garcia was the winner as he allowed six earned runs on nine hits in 6 1/3 innings. Garcia is now 3-1 on the season.
