New York 9, New Jersey 7

The New York Federals outlasted New Jersey 9-7 to win their third game in a row. The Federals took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when C Sandy DeLeon batted in a run. DeLeon and 3B Brad Jackson each collected an RBI in the fourth inning as the Federals extended their lead. Jackson led the Federals with three RBIs and also went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles. DeLeon and RF Tom Maloney each had two RBIs in the game for New York. The Jackals scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth, including LF Jeremy Slayden's two-run home run, to cut New York's lead to 5-4. New York responded with four runs in the top of the seventh, courtesy of Jackson's two-RBI double and an RBI from Maloney and DH Robert Dyer. New York starting pitcher James Kukucka earned the win, pitching 5 2/3 innings and allowing four earned runs while striking out five hitters.

Rockland 5, Newark 4

Rockland 2B Joe Hage's good night at the plate helped the Boulders edge the Newark Bears 5-4. Hage had three hits in four at-bats with three RBIs and two runs scored. The Boulders built a 3-0 lead after two innings played. Rockland CF Sean M. Smith hit a leadoff home run in the first inning, and Hage and SS Ray Stokes hit back-to-back RBI doubles in the second frame. Hage hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to stretch Rockland's lead to 5-1. Newark scored one in the seventh and two in the eighth to make it a one-run game, but Rockland starting pitcher Bobby Blevins worked a 1-2-3 ninth to preserve the Boulders' 5-4 win. Blevins pitched a complete game and was credited with the win. Blevins allowed three earned runs on six hits and struck out a batter. For Newark, RF Danny Santiesteban went 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored in a losing effort.

Pittsfield 7, Brockton 5

After falling down 5-0 early in the game, the Pittsfield Colonials scored seven unanswered runs to defeat the Brockton Rox 7-5. The Rox scored three runs in the top of the first on an RBI from RF Keith Brachold and two RBIs from LF Ryan Royster. Brockton tallied two more runs in the second to go up 5-0. The Colonials then chipped away at Brockton's lead in the middle innings. Pittsfield plated three runs in the fourth inning when 1B Angel Molina singled in a run and then 3B Johnny Welch smacked a two-run home run. The Colonials scored one run in the fifth inning, scored two runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-5 lead, then added another run in the seventh inning to go up 7-5. Despite allowing five earned runs, Pittsfield starting pitcher Miguel A. Flores was credited with the win. Flores allowed nine hits and struck out five hitters in the game. Colonials reliever Rafael Lluberes allowed no runs and just one hit in his 2 2/3 innings of work to earn the save. For Brockton, Royster had two RBIs in the game.

Quebec 9, Worcester 1

Quebec tallied 15 hits en route to a 9-1 rout of the Worcester Tornadoes. Capitales 1B Rene Leveret gave Quebec a quick 3-0 lead with his three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. Leveret also doubled later in the game. Quebec RF Sebastien Boucher went 3-for-5 at the plate with a solo home run. Quebec DH Pete LaForest batted in two runs in the game, and 2B Seth Henry also had two RBIs. Capitales starting pitcher Karl Gelinas tossed seven innings and allowed zero earned runs to earn the win. Gelinas scattered seven hits and struck out five batters. For the Tornadoes, LF Alex A. Nunez went 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI in a losing effort.
