North Shore was able to fend off a formidable late-inning rally by the Tornadoes to hang on for their seventh win of the season. The Spirit's starting pitcher Ryan Bicondoa went seven strong innings, allowing zero earned runs on two hits and struck out seven to pick up his third win of the year thus far. At the plate, the Spirit out-hit Worcester 15-3, led by DH leadoff hitter Garrett Weir who was 4-for-4. 3B Vic Davilla and LF Dan Batz were each 3-for-4 to lead the offense. The Tornadoes found themselves trailing 7-1 heading into the seventh inning, but were able to come up with three that inning, hold North Shore to one in the eighth, and plate two more in the bottom half. But that would be all they could muster in the losing effort.

Sussex 8, Brockton 3
@Brockton, MA. Time: 3:35 Attendance: 3,665
W: Kevin Olsen (2-0) L: Kyle George (1-1) S: Joe Gault (1)
HR: NONE
The Skyhawks got 2-hit games from four separate players and a strong performance turned in by starting pitcher Kevin Olsen. Olsen scattered seven hits through seven innings, allowing three runs, all earned, and striking out four to pick up his second win this season. LF Scott Grimes was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and CF James Cooper was 2-for-3 with four RBIs from the leadoff spot. Olsen stumbled out of the gate, allowing all three of the Brockton runs on four hits, but settled in thereafter as the Rox were unable to plate any runs from that point. Reliever Joe Gault came on to pitch the last two innings and allowed a hit and struck out two to earn his first save of the year.
