Quebec starting pitcher Julien Tucker pitched 5 1/3 innings of solid baseball giving up two runs on seven hits to lead the Capitales past the Cutters in the first game of the doubleheader. Quebec got four runs on the board in the first inning and would never be challenged. For the Cutters, LF Derrick Gibson and 2B Jose Delgado got two hits apiece, with Gibson scoring a run and driving in one. New Haven County starting pitcher Jarrett Stawarz got his first loss of the season going only three innings giving up six runs on six hits.

New Haven County 2, Quebec 1 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

SS Chas Terni's first home run of the season in the sixth inning was a big one as it broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Cutters a win and a split in the doubleheader. Rolando Valles was sensational for the Cutters as he pitched a complete game giving up only run on six hits with four strikeouts for his first victory of the season. RF Benoit Emond was the lone bright spot at the plate for the Capitales as he went 1-for-3 and scored the only Quebec run. Quebec starting pitcher Brad Purcell threw a terrific game in the loss going six innings giving up only one earned run on six hits with two strikeouts.

Sussex 3, Brockton 2 (Game 1 - 12 Innings)

SS Robert LeNoir's RBI single in the twelfth inning scores PR Jose Gutierrez and gets the Skyhawks their third straight victory over the Rox in the first game of the doubleheader. The Skyhawks' leaders at the plate were LeNoir, who was 2-for-4 with the game winning RBI, and 2B Marcos Agramonte, who was 2-for-5 with a RBI. Sussex pitcher Joe Gault picked up the victory in relief going four innings giving up one run and a hit with two strikeouts. For Brockton, RF Keith Brachold went 2-for-5 with one run scored.

Sussex 3, Brockton 2 (Game 2 - 9 Innings)

2B Marcos Agramonte singled home the game winning run in the ninth inning as Sussex sweeps the doubleheader and the four game series with
Brockton. The Skyhawks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a RBI double by 1B Ryan Lehr, who was 3-for-4 on the game. Sussex would make it 2-0 on a solo home run in the fourth inning by Lehr, his first of the season. Brockton would nod it at 2-2 in the sixth inning on sacrifice flies by DH Guye Senjem and C Jason Radwan. That is the way the score would stay until Agramonte's single in the ninth inning to give the Skyhawks the win. Julio Perez got the win in relief for Sussex pitching three innings giving up only two hits.

New Jersey 5, Worcester 1

1B Bill Peavey went 2-for-4 with one run scored and two runs driven in, including his third home run on the season, in helping the Jackals past the Tornadoes and snapping Worcester's six game winning streak. New Jersey starting pitcher Joe Orloski pitched a strong game going seven innings allowing only one run on four hits with three strikeouts en route to his first victory of the season. In the losing cause, 2B Jeff Lahair had a 1-for-4 outing and scoring the Tornadoes' only run of the game. New Jersey relief pitcher Jared Thomas picked up his second save of the season.
