Quebec 18, Worcester 2

Quebec scored nine runs in the second inning to take a 10-1 lead and would roll to an 18-2 rout of the Worcester Tornadoes. DH Rene Leveret and 1B Pete LaForest had monster games at the plate as they went a combined 7-for-10 with three home runs, six runs scored and 10 RBIs. Capitales starting pitcher Michel Simard easily won his eighth game giving up an earned run on six hits in seven innings of work.

Pittsfield 12, New Jersey 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

The Pittsfield Colonials rolled out to a 7-0 lead after two innings and easy defeated the New Jersey Jackals 12-2 in game one of a doubleheader. CF Daniel Carte went 2-for-4 with a homerun, two runs scored and three RBI. SS Matt Nandin, 2B Daniel Bomback and RF Angel Molina each had two hits for Pittsfield. Colonials starting pitcher David Qualben went the distance allowing two earned runs on five hits and collected his fifth win of the season.

New Jersey 4, Pittsfield 1 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

A terrific pitching performance by New Jersey starter Ryan Lobban leads the Jackals to a 4-1 win over the Pittsfield Colonials and a split of the doubleheader. Lobban tossed a complete game allowing only one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts. Lobban is now 4-2 on the year. New Jersey 1B Jabe Bergeron hit his 16th home run in the win.

Brockton 7, Sussex 3 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

Brockton took a 5-0 lead after just a half inning and beat the Sussex Skyhawks 7-3 in game one of a doubleheader. 1B Melvin Falu went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a run batted in to lead the Rox offense. Brockton starting pitcher Mike Wlodarczyk notched his 10th win as he tossed a complete game giving up an earned run on seven hits.

Brockton 9, Sussex 3 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

Brockton completed the doubleheader sweep as the Rox beat the Sussex Skyhawks 9-3 in game two. Brockton DH Scott Wearne and CF Mike Conroy each had three hits and RF Keith Brachold launched his 14th home run of the season. Rox starter Freddy Flores won his ninth game allowing three earned runs on six hits in a complete game effort. For Sussex in defeat, 1B Kris Sanchez hit his 18th home run of the year.
