After jumping out to an early 4-1 advantage, the Tornadoes fell behind 6-4 when New Jersey 1B Jabe Bergeron smacked a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth. But Worcester cut the lead in half on an RBI single by RF Billy Cather in the ninth to set the stage for Colabello's big shot. Quebec 10, Sussex 7

Quebec pulled back into a first-place tie by rallying for an early lead and holding on to beat Sussex 10-7. The Capitales scored three times in the first inning, capitalizing on two errors by Sussex SS Chase Fontaine, and in the second doubled their lead thanks to a two-run double by CF Sebastien Boucher. After 3B Michael Thompson drove in the second of his four RBI of the night in the fourth, Sussex pulled close with a five-run frame, highlighted by a two-run double by CF Carl Loadenthal. But the Capitales' offense continued to tack on runs, scoring on two doubles by Thompson and a single by 2B Alex Nunez over the final four innings. Quebec got at least one hit from eight of nine starters, and its bullpen allowed just one earned run over the final five innings to hold off the Skyhawks.

Pittsfield 8, Brockton 7

The Colonials got three home runs in the first four innings and withstood a late Brockton rally to win 8-7 and end the Rox's nine-game streak. After falling behind 2-0, Pittsfield 2B Danny Bomback evened the score in the second with a two-run homer, and 1B Jerod Edmondson again leveled the game with a solo shot in the third. And in the fourth, LF Rafael Cabreja hit a two-run homer that gave the Colonials their first lead of the game. Pittsfield added a single tally in the sixth and two unearned insurance runs in the seventh. Starter Miguel A. Flores earned the win by pitching 6.1 innings and allowing four runs, but reliever Juan Padilla almost lost the lead when Brockton LF Mike Conroy bashed a three-run homer in the ninth.
