Worcester 5, New Jersey 4
After allowing a pair of runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game, 4-4, Worcester rebounded in the bottom of the frame to earn the walk-off win. With the bases loaded and one out, Tornadoes RF Stantrel Smith delivered a single to the middle infield to score C Alex Trezza to give Worcester the 5-4 victory. Smith finished the game 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and Trezza led all hitters, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.
Pittsfield 8, Brockton 7
Pittsfield jumped out to a 6-0 lead after four innings, but had to thwart a late Brockton rally before securing an 8-7. The Colonials tallied 14 hits as a team, led by RF Daniel Carte, who finished 3-for-4 with a RBI. 2B Danny Bomback also had a good game offensively, going 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, a run scored and two RBI. Pittsfield starting pitcher Davide Qualben allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out eight in six innings to earn the win, his third of the year.
Quebec 8, Sussex 4
Quebec CF Geofrey Tomlinson was a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI to lead the Capitales to an 8-4 win over Sussex. Quebec starting pitcher Matthew Rusch allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out 12 in seven innings to earn the win, improving his record to 12-1 on the season. Capitales LF Alex Nunez also had a good game offensively, going 3-for-5 with a run scored.
