Brockton 15, Pittsfield 9 (Completion of suspended game from June 23)

Pittsfield RF Daniel Carte finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI to extend his league-record hitting streak to 31 games, but it wasn't enough as the Brockton offense powered the Rox to a 15-9 win. Four different Brockton players homered in the contest, including RF Keith Brachold, who was 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI to lead the way at the plate. 3B Phillip Cuadrado, 1B Clyde Williams and 2B Scott Wearne accounted for the Rox's three other home runs. The quartet combined to go 9-for-20 in the game with nine runs scored and eight RBI. Rox starting pitcher Mike Smith allowed six runs on eight hits while striking out three over five innings, but it was enough for the win, his fifth of the season.

Brockton 9, Pittsfield 5 (Regularly scheduled game - 11 innings)

Trailing 5-2 entering the bottom of the eighth inning, Brockton scored a run in the inning and rallied for two more in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings. Then, in the 11th, Rox 2B Scott Wearne ended it with one swing of the bat, delivering a walk-off grand slam. Wearne finished 3-for-5 with a double and a pair of runs scored to go along with the home run. Brockton C Chris Grossman also homered and finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI.
