Brockton 6, Sussex 2

Brockton starting pitcher Mike Wlodarczyk had a great outing to lead the Rox to an easy 6-2 win over Sussex. Wlodarczyk allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out eight in seven innings to earn the win, running his mark to 6-1 on the season. Rox 3B Phillip Cuadrado led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Brockton RF Keith Brachold also homered in the win and was 1-for-4. Sussex CF Carl Loadenthal was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI in the losing effort.

Quebec 7, Worcester 2

After falling behind, 1-0, in the top of the first inning, Quebec scored three times in the bottom of the frame to go up 3-1 and never looked back en route to a 7-2 win over Worcester. Capitales SS Ivan Naccarata was the star offensively, going 4-for-5 with a double, a pair of runs scored and a RBI. Quebec 1B Jeremy Hunt also had a productive night at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Starting pitcher Troy Cate earned his first win of the season. He allowed one earned run on six hits while striking out a pair over five innings.

Pittsfield 10, New Jersey 8

Pittsfield pounded out 16 hits as a team on the way to a close 10-8 win over New Jersey at home. Five different Colonials recorded multi-hit games, including 3B Jason Taylor who was 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and two runs scored. CF Quentin Davis also homered for Pittsfield. He finished 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Colonials reliever Giuseppe Granitto allowed a run over 1.2 innings to earn the win while fellow reliever Reymond Cruz tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his third save.
