New Jersey 7, Sussex 3 (Game 1 - 7 innings)

New Jersey scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back en route to an easy win over Sussex on the road. Jackals 2B Argenis Reyes was the star offensively, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. SS Mike DeJesus also had a productive game at the plate for New Jersey, going 1-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Jackals starting pitcher Ryan Lobban allowed three runs on six hits while striking out four in 5.1 innings to earn the win, his second of the season. Reliever Mike Pontius held Sussex scoreless over the last 1.2 innings to earn his second save.

New Jersey 3, Sussex 2 (Game 2 - 7 innings)

A three-run fourth inning proved to be all New Jersey needed in holding off Sussex and earning a sweep of the doubleheader. Jackals starting pitcher Isaac Pavlik allowed one unearned run on two hits while striking out four in six innings of work to earn the win and improve to 3-1 on the year. Closer Romas Hicks took over in the seventh for New Jersey and allowed a run, but stopped the bleeding there and earned his ninth save.

Quebec 6, Brockton 3

Quebec scored three runs in the top of the first inning and would never trail on the way to its 6-3 win over Brockton. Michel Simard pitched well for the Capitales, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out four in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win and improve to 2-2 on the season. Quebec SS Ivan Naccarata led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. CF Geofrey Tomlinson also homered for the Capitales, a solo shot, and finished 1-for-4.

Worcester 7, Pittsfield 2

Worcester RF Stantrel Smith finished a home run short of the cycle in leading the Tornadoes to a convincing 7-2 win over Pittsfield. Smith was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a triple, two runs scored and three RBI in his first game with Worcester. Tornadoes starting pitcher Chris Farley took advantage of the support, allowing two runs on eight hits while striking out nine in seven innings of work to earn the win and improve to 4-2 on the year. LF Rafael Cabreja was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored to lead Pittsfield in the losing effort.
