The top of the batting order for Brockton leads the way in the Rox's 8-5 win over the American Defenders of New Hampshire. The 1-2 hitters of SS Dom Ramos and RF Keith Brachold went a combined 5-for-9 at the plate with four runs scored and six RBI. Brachold also chipped in with his 13th home run of the season. Brockton starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren won his ninth game of the season as he allowed two earned runs on nine hits in seven innings of work. Rox closer Jerry Dunn fanned two batters in 2/3 of an inning to collect his 22nd save of the year.

1B Pat Scalabrini and LF Issael Gonzalez each had good nights at the plate in leading Quebec to their four straight victory. Scalabrini went 3-for-4 with a double and a RBI while Gonzalez had three-hit night with two runs scored. Quebec starting pitcher Michel Simard tossed a solid game in notching his eighth win of the season. Simard went five innings allowing one earned run on three hits with five strikeouts. Sussex 2B Chris Brown and SS Mark Pappas each had two hits on the night in defeat.
