Quebec DH Pierre-Luc LaForest was 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and three RBI to lead the Capitales past New Hampshire in game one of a doubleheader. Starting pitcher Karl Gelinas scattered four hits and struck out three in five shutout innings to earn the win and improve to 4-2 on the year. Capitales 1B Pat Scalabrini drove in the team's other run and finished the game 1-for-3.

The Capitales picked up where they left off in game two, pounding out 12 hits and scoring 16 runs on the way to a sweep of the doubleheader. Quebec 3B Pat Scalabrini led the way offensively, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. SS Ivan Naccarata also had a nice game. He was 2-for-2 with a double, a homer, four runs scored and two RBI. Starting pitcher Eric Gagne took advantage of the run support and nabbed his sixth win of the year.

New Jersey 4, Sussex 1

New Jersey scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the second inning and would never trail, en route to a 4-1 win over Sussex. Jackals starting pitcher AJ Wideman allowed one run on five hits in five innings of work to earn the win and run his record to 9-1 on the season. Leading the way at the plate for New Jersey was SS Mike DeJesus. DeJesus was 2-for-5 with a home run and a pair of runs driven in. Jackals closer Rusty Tucker shut the door on the Skyhawks in the ninth to earn his 24th save.

Worcester 2, Brockton 1 (Game 1 - 7 innings)

Worcester starting pitcher Chris Farley got the best of Brockton starter Freddy Flores in a pitcher's duel, leading the Tornadoes to a 2-1 win. Both starters went the distance with Farley allowing one run on five hits while striking out four to earn his fifth win. Flores allowed two runs on five hits and struck out a pair, but was stuck with the tough-luck loss and fell to 5-5. Worcester RF Carlos Sosa and 2B Jeff LaHair each went 1-for-3 with a RBI to lead the offense.

Brockton 6, Worcester 1 (Game 2 - 7 innings)

Brockton starter John Kelly allowed three hits and struck out six in five shutout innings to lead the Rox to a win, his first, and thus a split of the doubleheader with Worcester. Brockton SS Dominic Ramos led the way at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and a RBI while RF Keith Brachold was 1-for-3 with a fifth-inning grand slam. Worcester 1B Nick Salotti was 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI in the losing effort.
