The New Jersey Jackals plated five runs in the first inning to take a 5-0 lead and would cruise from there to a 9-6 win over the American Defenders of New Hampshire. 2B Marcus Sanders and CF Timo Perez led the Jackals offense going a combined 6-for-9 at the plate with three runs scored and four RBI. New Jersey starting pitcher Nick Asselin collected his 10th win of the season. Asselin went five innings allowing three earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts. RF Angel Molina went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI for the American Defenders in defeat.

New Jersey 11, New Hampshire 2 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

New Jersey broke a scoreless game with four runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth to go up 9-0 and would go on to win 11-2 over New Hampshire and sweep the doubleheader. Jackals SS Mike DeJesus went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and four RBI while 3B Myron Leslie hit his 15th home run of the year in a 1-for-4 game. New Jersey starting pitcher AJ Wideman won his eighth game of the season as he gave up only two hits in five innings pitched. RF Angel Molina had another good game at the plate for New Hampshire as he went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Brockton 4, Quebec 3

A solid night at the plate by 2B Melvin Falu helps the Brockton Rox edge past the Quebec Capitales and end its three game losing streak. Falu was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI. Brockton starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren went six innings and gave up two earned runs on three hits with four strikeouts to notch his eighth victory of the season. Capitales 2B Josh Colafemina was 2-for-3 and stole his league leading 31st and 32nd bases of the season. With the win by the Rox, Brockton now trails first place Quebec by three games in the second half standings.

DH Jorge Moreno's double in the 11th inning plated LF Ryan Crespi from third base and lifted the Sussex Skyhawks past the Worcester Tornadoes. Skyhawks 2B Chris Brown was 3-for-5 with a run scored while Moreno chipped in with a 2-for-5 game with a run scored and a RBI. Sussex reliever Sandy Nin won his third game of the year after tossing two scoreless innings. RF Carlos Sosa was 3-for-5 with a RBI for Worcester.
