Quebec C Pete LaForest turned in a tremendous game offensively as he hit for the cycle to lead the Capitales to a 14-5 rout of Sussex. LaForest hit a three-run bomb to cap off a seven-run top of the fifth inning that broke the game open. He finished 5-for-6 with three runs scored and four RBI. Sussex led the game 4-1 after one inning, but the Capitales turned it on and finished the game with 17 total hits. Quebec CF Goef Tomlinson led off the game with his first homer of the season and finished 2-for-5 with three RBI. Four other Quebec hitters had two hits apiece. Sussex starter Kyle Ruwe lasted just 4 2/3 innings and allowed nine earned runs on 12 hits to drop to 5-4 on the season. Michel Simard completed six innings for Quebec and improved to 5-6 with the win.
