The Nashua Pride completed the three game sweep of the Ottawa Rapidz behind a strong pitching performance from Nicolas Suero. Suero went 7 1/3 innings giving up only five hits while striking out one. He is now 1-2 on the season. Adam Piechowski finished off the eighth and Andy Weimer came on in the ninth to notch his fourth save of the season. CF Vinny Pennell led Nashua at the plate with a 2-for-4 outing. In the losing effort, Rapidz RF Pete Pirman went 2-for-4.

Worcester 7, Atlantic City 3

After giving up two runs to the Atlantic City Surf in the top of first inning, the Worcester Tornadoes plated five big runs in the bottom half and rolled from there to a win over the Surf. Tornadoes 1B Chris Colabello had a monster game at the plate going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. 2B Jeff LaHair chipped in with two hits of his own for Worcester along with driving in three runs. Tornadoes starter Tom Cochran picked up the win going six innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts. He is now 2-0 on the year.
