Quebec emphatically reversed their recent slumping ways, winning their second straight game in impressive fashion. Les Capitales crossed the plate 11 times in the first inning alone, embarrassing Brockton with a 13-0 win. RF Benoit Emond was 3-for-5 from the leadoff spot with a homer and three driven in. 3B Eddie Lantigua homered twice and drove in five, and LF Buck McNabb finished with two doubles, a run and two RBIs. The Capitales collectively registered 15 hits on the day, compared to Brockton's seven. Marcos Castillo held the Rox to zero runs on seven hits, striking out 10 in seven innings. Coogie Freedman pitched two perfect innings in relief. Rox starter Manny Tejada gave up seven runs on seven hits before leaving the game in the first without recording an out.
