July 4, 2005 - Canadian American League (Can-Am) News Release
NORTH SHORE 4, QUEBEC 1 @ Lynn, Mass. Time: 2:01 ATT: 1,030 W: Ryan Bicondoa (3-3) L: Min Soo Kim (3-4) S: None HR: NS - Travis Oglesby (11), Alex Trezza (6)
Ryan Bicondoa pitched extravagantly, notching a complete-game victory in North Shore's 4-1 win over Quebec. Bicondoa allowed only one hit, a single to 1B Todd Leathers in the second. Bicondoa allowed a run on a sac fly in the same inning, but regrouped and pitched hitless baseball the rest of the way, striking out seven Capitales. DH Travis Oglesby and C Alex Trezza each homered in the second consecutive game for North Shore, with Trezza's solo shot immediately following Oglesby's three-run blast in the first. That would be all the support Bicondoa needed to finish off the slumping Capitales.

3B Jake Daubert helped the Rox jump out to an early lead, and "Oil Can" Boyd held the Grays' offense in check en route to a 7-2 Brockton win. Boyd collected his first win for Brockton, allowing just two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out five. Daubert singled in two runs during a three-run Rox first, then added a solo homer in the eighth. The Grays scored all of their runs on a fifth inning homer by CF Greg Strickland.
