HR: GRY - Francisco Lebron 2 (7) Quebec had the Grays on the ropes, and brought in closer Christian Mendoza to seal the game with the score 8-7, Caps. Mendoza entered the game with an ERA of 0.71, eight saves and 16 strikeouts in 12.2 innings, but gave up four hits in the ninth, including Francisco Lebron's second homer of the game. Lebron's two-run shot gave the Grays, playing as the home team in Quebec's stadium, the 9-8 walk-off victory. Lebron, who finished 4-for-5 with five RBIs, also homered twice in the Grays' 10-5 win over North Shore on June 19. BJ Weed doubled twice and was 3-for-5 with two runs for the Grays.

New Jersey and New Haven were tied at two after nine, and it took two extra innings of baseball to complete the game. In the bottom of the 11th, RF Darren Ciraco and 1B Steve Checksfield led off with back-to-back singles. The next batter, 3B Tyler Brock, hit a tall chopper over Cutters' 3B Jeff Brooks, who was playing slightly in, at double-play depth. The ball dropped into left field, and Ciraco rounded third while LF Orlando Encarnacion raced to scoop up the slowly rolling ball. Ciraco beat the throw home, and New Haven won a thriller, 3-2.

Worcester blew a six-run lead, allowing Elmira to score seven in the top of the ninth, before answering in the bottom half with two more runs for the 8-7 Tornadoes victory. A two-run double by SS Ryan Dorsay and a two-run single by 3B Das Jessen keyed the seven-inning rally, but it wasn't enough. In the bottom half, CF Lucas Taylor scored on a wild pitch by reliever Jose Guzman, and 1B Zach Strong singled home LF Josh Beauregard to win the game in walk-off fashion. Reliever Dave Byard got the win despite allowing an earned run in his third of an inning pitched. SS Omar Pena homered and drove in four for the Tornadoes.

Sanchez finished 2-for-3 with a double and a run. The North Shore batters rescued themselves from five errors on defense, which led to all five Brockton runs.
