Rockland 4, Trois-Rivieres 2 (Series tied, 1-1)

The Rockland Boulders leveled the series with the Trois-Rivieres Aigles by taking game two 4-2.

The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when the Boulders broke through. DH Marcus Nidiffer plated the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly that scored LF Stephen Cardullo. In the fifth, CF Jared McDonald doubled the Boulders lead with a double that plated 2B Steve Nyisztor.

In the sixth, 1B Charlie Law doubled to score RF Joe Maloney to give the Boulders a 3-0 lead. The Aigles got on the board in the seventh inning as 1B Daniel Mateo belted out a two-run home run but those would be Trois-Rivieres' only runs of the game.

Law added an extra insurance run for the Boulders with a sac fly in the eighth that scored SS Junior Arrojo. Arrojo was the only player for either team to register more than one hit as he went 2-for-5 with the one run scored.

On the bump, Matthew Rusch started for the Aigles but was saddled with the loss after seven innings of work in which he allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits while striking out five.

Starting pitcher Bo Budkevics picked up the win as he went seven innings and allowed two runs (two earned) on just three hits. He did not issue a walk and struck out 12 batters. Reliever Luis Sanz earned the save for shutting things down in the ninth.

Quebec at New Jersey - Postponed/Rain (New Jersey leads series 1-0)
