Sussex County 6, Rockland 4 - Box Score

The Sussex County Miners are the 2019 Can-Am League regular season champions as they downed the Rockland Boulders by the score of 6-4.

Sussex County starting pitcher Jeff Thompson tossed eight solid innings en route to his league leading 11th victory of the season. Thompson allowed three earned runs on six hits and struck out five batters in a 106-pitch performance. Miners closer Ryan Newell struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth and earned his 19th save.

Offensively for Sussex County, SS Cito Culver led the way going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Miners DH Jordan Scott had three hits in four at-bats along with a pair of runs while PH/RF Nick Zaharion added a double and two RBIs. In total, Sussex County had 10 hits on the night.

Right fielder Blake Grant-Parks had a 2-for-4 night with a run scored in the loss for the Boulders.

New Jersey 10, Trois-Rivieres 3 - Box Score

It was all New Jersey tonight as the Jackals rolled past Trois-Rivieres by a 10-3 final. The Jackals had a 2-1 lead after three innings of play before tallying seven runs over the next four to open the game up and win going away.

There were 16 hits collected by New Jersey with five batters having multi-hit games. Jackals CF Jay Gonzalez led the way at the plate going 3-for-5 with four runs scored and an RBI. New Jersey SS Santiago Chirino had a four-hit game along with three RBIs while RF Demetrius Moorer plated three runs and walked twice in a 1-for-3 night.'

Jackals pitcher Matt Dallas threw three scoreless innings and notched the victory. The 26-year-old gave up two walks and three hits while striking out three batters. With the win, Dallas is now 3-0 on the season.

Second baseman Tucker Nathans went 3-for-5 with a run scored for the Aigles.

Ottawa 2, Quebec 1 - Box Score

Ottawa starting pitcher Phillippe Aumont turned in another terrific performance on the mound as the Champions defeated Quebec, 2-1.

Aumont tossed his sixth complete game of the season as he gave up an earned run on six hits and struck out nine in 122 pitches. The righty notched the victory and is now 8-4 on the year. Aumont is currently first in the Can-Am in strikeouts (145), second in complete games (6) and ERA (2.65).

Offensively for Ottawa, DH Adron Chambers led the way going 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Champions 3B Nick DeTringo had a perfect 3-for-3 night while C Larry Balkwill drew a walk and tallied a run.

For the Capitales in the loss, 1B Zach Wilson went 2-for-4 and drove in the team's only run.
