Cuba 3, Quebec 2

The Cuban National Team made it two wins in a row as they defeated the Quebec Capitales 3-2 at Stade Canac on Tuesday night in what turned out to be the only game played in the Can-Am League.

Raul Isidora went 2-for-3 for the visiting Cuban squad, with the go-ahead RBI in the sixth inning to go along with his efforts. Cesar Echvarria led the game off with a HR, and Frederich Cruz added a solo HR in the second inning for the Cuban offense.

Meanwhile, Lazaro Blanco pitched well against his former team. The veteran right hander went five innings, allowing just one run on two hits, walking two and striking out six. Rafael Thope got the final four outs to nail down his second save of the tour for Cuba.

Yordan Manduley went 3-for-4 for Quebec in defeat.

Ottawa at New Jersey - POSTPONED (RAIN)

Shikoku Island at Rockland - POSTPONED (RAIN)

Meanwhile, all three games that were scheduled to be played Stateside were postponed due to rain. All 6 teams will play two seven-inning games tomorrow, with Rockland and Shikoku Island starting the parade of twinbills at Palisades Credit Union Park beginning at 4:00 pm, Trois-Rivieres and Sussex County will get things started at Skylands Stadium, as well as the doubleheader at Yogi Berra Stadium between Ottawa and New Jersey, with both doubleheaders slated to begin at 5:05 pm.
