Quebec 7, New Jersey 0 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)
Quebec finished off the doubleheader sweep of New Jersey as they defeated the Jackals in game two, 7-0. The Capitales jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings of play and would cruise from there to the big victory.
The Capitales had 11 hits in the contest with eight batters collecting at least one. Phildrick Llewellyn went 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Adam Ehrlich scored a run and drove in two in a 1-for-2 outing. Maxx Tissenbaum also chipped in his fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the third inning.
Quebec starting pitcher Wendell Floranus tossed six shutout innings to earn his second win of the year. Floranus gave up a walk and six hits while striking out six in a 101-pitch performance.
The Capitales took three-of-four in the series with New Jersey.
Rockland 3, Ottawa 2 (10 Innings)
Mike Montville led off the 10th inning with a solo home run to give Rockland a 3-2 walk-off win over Ottawa. With the victory, the Boulders took three-of-four in the series with the Champions.
Montville went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI while Cody Regis added a pair of triples and a run in a 2-for-3 night. Conrad Gregor and Rylan Sandoval also chipped in a hit and an RBI for Rockland.
Boulders pitcher Kyle Hansen tossed a scoreless inning of relief and picked-up the victory. Hansen gave up only a walk in the four batters that he faced. With the win, Hansen is now a perfect 5-0 on the year.
For Ottawa in the losing effort, Steve Brown had a 1-for-3 game with a pair of walks, a run scored and an RBI.
