Ottawa 5, Trois-Rivieres 2

The Ottawa Champions notch their fourth victory in a row as they beat the Trois-Rivieres Aigles by the score of 5-2. Ottawa banged out 14 hits in the contest with four batters having multi-hit games. Champions 3B Donal Duarte led the way going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Ottawa 2B Albert Cartwright and RF Michael Mastroberti each had three hits while CF Sebastien Boucher scored three runs. Champions starting pitcher Austin Chrismon tossed a complete game en route to his third victory of the season. Chrismon allowed two earned runs on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts.

Quebec 8, Shikoku Island 2

Quebec rolled out to a 4-1 lead after three innings and cruised to an 8-2 win over the Shikoku Island All-Stars. Eight of the nine batters in the Capitales lineup collected at least a hit including CF Kalian Sams who went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and a RBI. Quebec C Maxx Tissenbaum also added a home run in 1-for-3 night along with two runs scored and three RBI while 1B Jordan Lennerton collected two hits, drove in a run and scored one. Capitales starter Karl Gelinas tossed seven solid innings to pick-up his second win of the year. Gelinas gave up two earned runs on five hits and struck out three batters.

Cuba 8, Sussex County 3

The Cuban National Team scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to break open a tight game and win 8-3 over the Sussex County Miners. Cuba CF Julio Martínez led the offense going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. Leftfielder Luis Moiran scored two runs and drove in two in a 1-for-4 night and C Yosvani Alarcon collected three hits and two RBI. Cuba starting pitcher Vladimir Garcia allowed one unearned run on four hits in six innings pitched to notch the win. For Sussex County in the loss, RF Dominique Taylor went 3-for-4.

New Jersey 11, Rockland 6

New Jersey scored early and often in this contest as they plated three runs in the first, third and fourth innings and rolled to an 11-6 win over the Rockland Boulders. Jackals 1B Art Charles, the two-time June Player of the Week, continued to pound the baseball as he went 3-for-5 with a triple, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI. New Jersey 2B Rylan Sandoval had a 3-for-4 game with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI and LF Michael O'Neill collected two hits, scored two runs and drove in one. Jackals starter Whit Mayberry threw six innings and picked up his third win of the season. Mayberry gave up five earned runs on eight hits and struck out four batters.
