Québec 3, Garden State 0

Quebec held Garden State to just four hits in its 3-0 victory Thursday night. In the bottom of the third, Capitales CF Kalian Sams hit a two-RBI single to put Quebec up 2-0. Later in the bottom of the half, RF Alexei Bell hit an RBI-single to increase the Capitales' lead. Later in the sixth inning, Quebec had bases load with two outs, but failed to score any runs.

In the top of the eighth, Garden State was threatening with men on first and second with two out, but 1B Vincent Guglietti struck-out swinging. LF Yuniesky Gurriel and 3B Cedric Vallieres led the Capitales with two hits each. Garden State committed two errors in the game while Quebec committed one.

Winnipeg 4, Trois-Rivières 2

Winnipeg held off a late Aigle rally to win a close 4-2 match-up Thursday night. Winnipeg was up 2-0 after the first inning thanks to a two-RBI double by 3B Josh Mazzola. Aigles DH Joel Carranza hit an RBI-single in the bottom of the second to cut Winnipeg's lead to 2-1. But in the fourth, the Goldeyes extended its lead to 4-1 - 2B James Boddicker had an RBI-walk and LF Adam Heisler's fielder's choice brought in an unearned run.

Aigles Kyle Lafrenz hit an RBI-single in the bottom of the seventh to cut it to 4-2. In the bottom of the ninth, Trois-Rivieres had bases loaded but the rally was ended with a strike-out. Goldeyes starting pitcher Matt Jackson went 6.2 innings, gave up five hits, two earned runs and struck-out three batters. Lafrenz led Trois-Rivieres with two hits.
