Worcester 6, Rockland 5 (7 Innings - Game 1)
Center fielder Jerod Edmondson's single in the bottom of the seventh inning scored 3B Cam Kneeland from third base and lifted the Worcester Tornadoes to a 6-5 walk-off win over the Rockland Boulders in game one of a doubleheader. Four batters in the Worcester lineup had two hits apiece including Kneeland, who also had a run scored and a run batted in. Tornadoes reliever Nick Serino notched the win after tossing a scoreless inning and allowing a hit while fanning two batters. The victory was Serino's third of the season. For Rockland in defeat, 3B Phil Cuadrado went 1-for-2 and drove in two runs.
New Jersey 10, Newark 4
The New Jersey Jackals scored six runs over the final three innings to break away from the Newark Bears and win, 10-4. Second baseman Matt Cusick led the New Jersey offense going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI. Jackals CF Chris Curran also collected two hits and drove in three runs while C Jeff Lanning had a hit and plated three runs. Jackals' reliever Jeff Gogal was the winning pitcher as he tossed 1 1/3 innings allowing two hits while striking out a batter. For Newark in the loss, CF James Roche went 1-for-4 with a RBI.
St. Paul 6, Quebec 4 (10 Innings)
Center fielder Jose Hernandez launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the St. Paul Saints a dramatic 6-4 walk-off win over the Quebec Capitales. The Saints had a 3-1 lead going into the eighth inning only to see the Capitales score single runs in the eighth and ninth innings to tie the score at 3-3 and send it to extra innings. Quebec tallied a run in the top of the 10th to take a 4-3 lead before 1B Ole Sheldon hit a solo home run to tie at 4-4 and then Hernandez's two-run blast to give St. Paul the victory. Sheldon and Hernandez both had three hits in the game for the Saints.
