New Jersey 5, Worcester 2

He gave way to RHP Jimmer Kennedy, who allowed a run in the eighth before RHP Keith Cantwell shut the door in the ninth. Cantwell's 10th save gave Fox his ninth win of the season and secured Calfapietra's milestone victory.

Rockland 4, Newark 1

Blevins pitched to contact for 6.2 innings to pick up his sixth win of the season. Though he only struck out four, Blevins held the Bears to one run on three hits. Bears RHP Julian Sampson also pitched well, as both teams combined for a meager nine hits.

A bit of offensive good fortune got Rockland on the board in the third inning. After reaching on a walk, C Billy Alvino rounded the bases on three wild pitches to score the game's first run. Rockland added a run in the next inning and two more in the fifth on a home run by LF Keith Brachold. The Bears managed just two hits following the Brachold homer and RHP Adrian Martin closed the game out for Rockland in the ninth. The save was Martin's 11th of the year.
