Quebec 7, Worcester 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)
The 2-3-4 hitters of the Quebec Capitales lead the way in the 7-2 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes in game one of a doubleheader. 3B Jonathan Malo, CF Sebastien Boucher and DH Rene Leveret went a combined 5-for-9 at the plate with two doubles, five runs scored and five RBI. Leveret also launched a two-run home run, his third of the season. Capitales starting pitcher Chad Jones picked up the win after tossing five innings allowing two earned runs on three hits.
Quebec 5, Worcester 4 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)
CF Sebastien Boucher's single in the top of seventh inning scored SS Jeff Helps from second base and lifted the Quebec Capitales to a 5-4 win and a doubleheader sweep. Quebec 1B Rene Leveret had another terrific game going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. In total for the two games, Leveret went 5-for-8 with two home runs and six runs batted in. Capitales starting Karl Gelinas collected his league leading fifth win of the season as he allowed four earned runs on 10 hits with seven strikeouts. Tornadoes leadoff hitter Cameron Monger had three hits in the loss.
Kansas City 7, Newark 4 (Top 9 - In Progress)
In interleague play, the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association lead the Newark Bears 7-4 in the top of the ninth inning.
